She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) after attending Columbia University in New York where she received a BA in American Studies. After working as an actress in London and New York, she retrained as a teacher and now also holds a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Secondary School Drama. Since 2010 Lara has been teaching children across the age range in schools and nurseries, in both an academic and extracurricular context. Using her experience both on and off the stage, Lara facilitates workshops that foster creativity, develop expression and build confidence in younger students, guides older students through the performing arts audition process, and supports professional actors as they fine-tune their instruments.
